I'll never eat at the casino again. We were going to eat at the casino before a concert. There was a 1.5 hours wait for the restaurant. I reluctantly conceded to eating at the buffet, only to be told the wait was more than half an hour. (not sure why, there were plenty of empty tables) We were referred to the Chinook Grill by the hotel. A quick walk and we were immediately seated. Our server, Nancy, was attentive and polite. We told her we were going to the concert and she took extra care to serve us quickly and graciously. The food was fabulous, the wine was perfect and we had a lovely dining expedience. We'll definitely be back.

If you are in the area, skip the casino for drinks and head to the restaurant's bar and see Jeffery. He has been our bartender for two night and he makes the best old fashion's ever!! Jeffery is fun and pretty much the life of the entire place - can't image our experience without him. He is very personal with all customers!! Awesome view too!!

After having some crappy fish and chips the day before at another joint, we came here in hopes of a fish and chip pick me up. What a bust. The hostess failed to say a single word to us as we approached and she began gathering menus and looking to me to strike up the conversation. "Hi", I said. "Hello", was her only response. I proceeded to tell her we had 3 with a high chair and she takes us to a booth with a pedestal about a foot high. I asked her if the high chair would reach and she says "Let me check". The manager returns and says that "we'll have to put you at a table instead of a booth as the high chair won't reach here", as if I had asked for a booth - not the case. They took us to the table which was amidst several older couples. At this point I think I realized the booth was probably an attempt to keep us away from the general crowd since we had - *gasp* - kids! Our waitress sounded like Marge Simpson's sisters and had the smoker smell to match. No sooner had we sat down when she asked us what we'd like to order. "We'll take a few minutes, thanks." Anxious for a re-do of my crap dinner from yesterday, I hastily ordered when she returned. My husband ordered the prime rib, and we ordered chicken tenders from their oh-so-healthy kids menu. I always order my fish and chips "extra-crispy" or "well-done" as most restaurants I've been to consider pale yellow and soggy fish to represent their "fried to a golden-brown perfection". Their chowder was OK but the bay shrimp salad was good and the greens were fresh. Our waitress was not too mindful of manners or very friendly for that matter but every employee that walked by made sure to fill our water cups. The manager was nice and there was a young man - maybe 19 or 20, I believe his name was Mason. He was sweet and amiable and would talk to our son when he came by. Very nice and personable kid and he probably should've been the server instead of our Fran Drescher clone. I noticed he made every point to talk to everyone who passed and you could tell the other diners enjoyed his conversations. He is strictly the reason this place is getting 2 stars instead of 1. Seriously - please, someone promote that kid. Our food came out rather quickly, and just upon looking at it, you knew why. Fried to a golden-brown perfection? Who taught this chef about texture? Soggy and yellow, just like the night before. As she set the plate in front of me, the waitress says - "Here ya go, fish and chips extra crispy just like you ordered!" I didn't have to touch it, but did to make a point and kindly asked if I could send it back as it definitely was not extra crispy. Her response? "Well, let me ask the chef." Wait, what? Let you ASK the chef if I can send my food back? Hmm. Meanwhile, my husband's prime rib was alleged to be herb-crusted, tender and juicy. It was really quite the opposite. Definitely was not herb-crusted - really it had no flavor. It was dry and tough and tasted old. My husband strongly dislikes my vocalization about poor food / service at restaurants so he didn't eat and insisted I not say anything about it. My fish and chips came back out crisp and fresh and had good flavor, really. But the waitress seemed quite perturbed when she brought it out - perhaps the chef was a bit of a jerk to her, but then again her attitude was poor to begin with. At this point, the baby started fussing so my husband took him to the car. I asked for the bill and a box for the fish and fries and asked that the prime rib either be re-made or taken off the bill. Now, I realize this was the 2nd plate of food we had complained about, but I certainly was not about to pay $75 for a dinner that was awful, at best. This time, the waitress looked quite pissed off and again said she would ASK the chef. (This confuses me. I don't see why they need to ASK his permission?) It took damn near 20 minutes to get the bill, box, and answer about the prime rib with a total of FOUR other tables left in the restaurant (3 of which were seated before us and were eating or finished eating), with two waitresses, the manager and the bus boy. Our answer was that there wouldn't be a point in making another dish as the meat comes off the same rib / bone (she wasn't even sure of the answer, it seemed). She then said, we can take it off the bill if you'd really like. Why yes, I would really like. My husband couldn't eat his $24 dinner. She took the bill back and I paid for my dinner, my sons and the chowder my husband ate - the one that came WITH his meal...but we didn't pay for the meal, afterall. In short - TERRIBLE food, and AWFUL service (with the exception of Mason - I hope he finds better employment elsewhere). Vastly disappointed and will never return.

We passed through Lincoln City on our way up north. I wanted to sit down with a view and a nice setting (better if they have baby changing table). So we decided to give this a try for lunch. I think this restaurant is affiliated with the casino (and I always think casino offers good foods). Service was 10 out of 10!!! The view was nice but we were so impressed with the service. The foods were average (nothing to impress but no complains). Overall a good choice for us. We were very impressed with the service.

Breakfast here is good. The steak and eggs are tasty, the salmon potato hash was seasoned very well. The best dish in the vanilla French toast. Service can be slow but the view is magnificent.

Overpriced flavorless food. I ordered pasta with mushrooms. The mushrooms were boiled not sauteed and the pasta was floating in a bed of mushroom water instead of oil. This tiny bowl of watery pasta with no white sauce or olive oil cost $16 The potato soup was ok

This place has progressively gotten worse over the last few times we visited and today was our last. The fish was fishy and dry, the burgers were dry. The lettuce was wilted and the tomatoes looked and tasted like they had set out on the beach overnight. The service was average.

The waitress was nice and fast but the person that was filling everybody's coffee never refilled our coffee cups until we had got our food. I ordered the country fried steak & eggs, which also comes with toast and hash browns. The eggs were the only downside of the plate besides that the food isn't amazing, but it was good. Overall, I will give Chinook's Seafood Grill 4 stars because of the good food and somewhat good service. I would recommend this restaurant.

The hotel was behind on laundry so my husband and I had to find some place to eat and of course this restaurant is right behind the hotel lobby. We went at a really good time, Happy hour and the sunset dinner! I was pretty hungry so I got the cheese plate and the clams as apps. They were above my expectation. Amazing! My husband who hates clams said he would order these again. Very yummy. Then we ordered from the sunset dinner, fish and chips and the pasta. I was NOT a big fan of the pasta. I don't think the goat cheese goes very well on top. But, the fish and chips that my husband got were amazing. I would love to go back and eat here again. Plus the view from our booth was fantastic. I loved it.

We had a good experience last year and decided to try it again. Unfortunately, it was not good this year at all. First, we were told they were out of prime rib. Then about 5 minutes later we were told they did have prime rib. My mother ordered it medium but it looked well done. She had a difficult time cutting into it as it was very dry and tough. It looked as if it had been heated up in the microwave. Unlike any prime rib I've ever seen. She ate a few bites and we took the rest to the dog. The brownies were tough and hard to eat as well. Definitely, not the best Mother's Day meal. In fact, she said it was about the worst meal she's had. ;-( The bartender was having to make drinks as well as serve. He was doing his best but was having to run all over the place. We felt bad for him as he was busy. We really wanted to send the meal back but in the end we just took it to the dog.

The food at this bar is great the staff and management leave something to be desired. Apparently they no longer carry the crab and haven't for some time but they haven't updated their menu. I learned this after ordering from the waitress who cut my husband off of pepper because she didn't want to grind it anymore. She offered the lobster which conveniently doesn't have a price. Ok great right? Wrong. The lobster is twice as much as the crab would have been. Nice up-selling there. I can't but feel like I was tricked. I mean what seafood restaurant doesn't carry crab? Your on the beach. You could go out and catch it yourself. Again great food. The best food at Chinook winds but ran poorly.

Actually, the food didn't quite rate 5 stars but the value and service...terrific! Jeff the bartender was awesome and attentive (even though he was busy) and happy hour was over in 10 minutes but he told us he'd honor the prices as long as we were there. 1/2 price appetizers that were at least 4 stars. Pork belly sliders, buffalo sliders, bay shrimp nachos, and fish tacos which they grilled instead of deep fried at our request. Very nice!

Clam chowder was good as was the bread. Scallops were mushy, old beans, sauce was gross, mushroom paperdelle was bland and balsamic dressing did not taste right . Ambiance bland. We won't be back, wish we looked on Yelp before going.

We had a horrible waitress tonight. Reservations for 8:30pm. Seated @ 8:30, great. Water within 5 minutes, great. Waitress showed up around 15 minute after seated, wow. (Place wasn't busy) We ordered right away. Soda showed up @8:58... People seated in front and to the side of us showed up around 9pm & ordered. They both got bread, salads, and there dinner before we even got our salad/soup which came @9:22pm. BTW, our water and soda were empty and our waitress walked by many times. We asked about our bread after getting her attention. After bringing us bread, she said she didn't forget, but that they ran out of the oils and that's why the wait. (We didn't say anything, but the people seated after us all got bread and oil). @9:42pm, we got the supervisor attention, asking if this was normal... She went to check on our food & said their making it, ready in two minutes. About 5 minutes later, we decided we were done and asked for our check. They didn't charge us for the meal portion. Note: Male waiter in section next to us seemed to be taking care of his customers just fine. Also, we came here a few years ago and had a great customer experience.

We are a family of 5 with a young child. We waited for 5-10 minutes just to get a table. After getting the table we checked out the menu. We were a little non-plussed by the (recent?) change in menu. The prices are outrageous for what is offered. The main problem is we were never served. Only a busser came by to offer water and bread. At least the bread was good. I went to the front to complain to the person who sat us. He told me to wait while he took a phone call. 20-30 minutes is too long to be greeted by a server. We left and will never return. Awful customer service.

Great food and service. Then of course the view. Prices are what one would expect in such an establishment.
